  • Kurt Matsa

    Real Estate has been a central part of Kurt’s life for as long as he can remember. His family built homes for a living, so he grew up exploring construction sites and newly built homes. He moved to DC in 2003 to attend Georgetown University, where he received his Bachelors degree and later earned his Masters in Business Administration.

    Since becoming a licensed realtor Kurt has focused on treating his clients like friends and family. It is his goal to be the antithesis of the stereotypical salesman agent. You’ll never have any doubt that Kurt is on your side and always has your best interests in mind.

    A native of Sag Harbor, New York on the east end of Long Island, Kurt is passionate about travel and experiencing other cultures. He loves virtually any kind of physical activity, from running and hiking to playing basketball, flag football, softball, soccer and tennis. Kurt also enjoys DIY projects and is frequently tearing down and replacing something in his house, much to his wife’s dismay. A dual American and Polish citizen, he is a native English speaker, fluent in Polish and proficient in Greek. Kurt lives in Shaw with his wife, young son, and their dog – a Boston Terrier named Riley.

    As an Eagle Scout, Karl knows a scout is first and foremost trustworthy. With an unwavering loyalty to his clients’ best interests, Karl is committed to achieving the best outcomes for them while offering guidance and sterling service every step of the way. His goal is to make his clients feel safe, seen, and heard, and create space and ease for them to enjoy the experience. 

    With 11 years of executive-level, client-facing experience, he has a proven track record of listening for his clients’ needs and staying eagle-eyed for ways to provide value. 

    Karl is eager to bring his trust, compassion, business acumen, negotiating skills, disarming nature, and diplomacy to your next real estate purchase, sale, or investment.

    Karl is originally from Madison, WI and has proudly called NW DC (Columbia Heights & Adams Morgan) home since 2014. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Karl is trilingual in Spanish and Portuguese. 

GRATITUDE

Kurt’s high-energy personality and desire to help others has made real estate the perfect fit, and his move to a career he truly loves was made possible thanks to the support and encouragement of his wife, Kat. Kurt’s gratitude is reflected in the company branding, both through the use of a blue that he personally designed to match the turquoise waters of his wife’s native Greece, and through the name of the company itself, as he took his wife’s last name following the birth of their son in May of 2019.
